The GreenBUILD project was presented during the Institute’s Seminar “A New Era in Mineral Processing: Navigating Emerging Challenges and Strategic Opportunities”, hosted by the Jerzy Haber Institute of Catalysis and Surface Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) on 25 March 2026 in Kraków, Poland.
The seminar featured a presentation by Prof. Oktay Şahbaz from Kütahya Dumlupınar University (Türkiye), focusing on emerging trends in mineral processing, innovation, and sustainable engineering. As part of the presentation, GreenBUILD was introduced as an example of an international Erasmus+ Capacity Building project promoting sustainable development, academic cooperation, and curriculum modernisation.
The presentation highlighted how GreenBUILD supports the development of innovative Master’s programmes, strengthens collaboration between universities and industry, and equips future professionals with the knowledge and skills needed for the green and digital transition of the construction sector.
The seminar attracted approximately 30 researchers from the Polish Academy of Sciences and provided an excellent opportunity to disseminate GreenBUILD beyond the project consortium, engage with the international research community, and strengthen cooperation in the fields of engineering education, sustainability, and knowledge transfer.
Through activities such as this, the GreenBUILD consortium continues to expand the project’s international visibility while promoting modern approaches to higher education, capacity building, and sustainable innovation.
