GreenBUILD Project Presented at International Conference on Digital Transformation and Skills Development

The GreenBUILD project was presented during the international scientific conference “Bridging Digital Divides: Skills, Inclusion and Socio-Economic Transformation”, held on 20–21 May 2026 in a hybrid format in Bratislava, Slovakia, with both onsite and online participation.

The conference brought together researchers, policymakers, educators, and practitioners to discuss current challenges and opportunities related to digital transformation, digital inclusion, lifelong learning, and workforce development. Within the EDSAW conference track, particular attention was given to the role of higher education in supporting upskilling and reskilling for an increasingly digital and sustainable economy.

The GreenBUILD dissemination activity highlighted how the project contributes to developing future-oriented educational programmes that integrate sustainability, digital technologies, and labour market needs. Participants also discussed the importance of equipping future professionals with competencies required for the green and digital transition of the construction sector.

The conference provided an excellent opportunity to increase the international visibility of the GreenBUILD project, exchange experiences with experts from different countries, and establish new contacts for future academic cooperation.

The event was organised by Kütahya Dumlupınar University (Türkiye) and attracted 54 participants through hybrid participation.

The GreenBUILD consortium continues to actively disseminate project results and promote innovative approaches to sustainable construction education across the international academic community.
